Washington Youth Soccer administers four state tournaments to provide teams at all levels of play the opportunity to continue to compete in post-league play. The State Cups and levels of play offered are:

Recreational Cup – Recreational Level
Founders Cup – Developmental Level
Challenge Cup – Competitive Level
US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships – Highly Competitive Level

After completing your online tournament application contact your Association Registrar for approval of the application. Once your Club and Association Registrar verify that the players and coaches listed on your application are properly registered in Washington Youth Soccer and have ensured that your team meets the criteria listed for the tournament for which you have applied, they will approve your application and submit the team for participation to Washington Youth Soccer.

***STATE CUP RULES UPDATE***

The rules have been updated to the Washington Youth Soccer State Cup Rules or Play-In documents. If you downloaded the rules before November 7, 2011, please discard them. Per the approval of the SOC during their meeting on November 5th, one rule from the 2011/12 State Cup rules was removed:

If applicable, all teams that finished in the Semi-Finals and/or higher in the previous year’s State Championships will be required to enter into this tournament.

In addition, the Play-In format was revised to give more clarity to the Play-In process. The new State Cup Rules and Play-In format documents can be found below under the “State Cup Resources” section. This should not affect any team’s registration status as the update has been communicated to all associations with plenty of time to change before the first Cup registration deadline of November 14th.
